Katerina was born in 1984 in Prague. She graduated bachelor’s degree at the Academy of Performing Arts (VSMU) in Bratislava as a student of prof. Zlatica Livorova, where she has been still studying privately. She graduated master’s degree at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague as a student of prof. Magdalena Hajossyova.
Katerina participated in many international masterclasses by prof. Zlatica Livorova, Magdalena Blahusiakova and Peter Dvorsky in Czech and Slovak republic.
In 2010 she won the 3rd prize at the International Competition of Antonin Dvorak in Karlovy Vary. Since 2012 to 2015 she had taken part in the semi-finals of three major opera competitions (Timo Mustakallio in Savonlinna, Finland, Francesco Viñas in Barcelona and Belvedere in Amsterdam).
Katerina has already had a series of concert performances of word known masterpieces such as the Stabat Mater (Dvorak), St. Ludmila (Dvorak), Weihnachtsoratorium (J. S. Bach), Glagolitic Mass (L. Janacek), Requiem (Verdi) Carmina Burana (Orff C.), Moses (S. Bodorova) etc., that she sang at many prestigious festivals (Prague castle Music, Mahlers Jihlava, Janacek May, Treasures of Broumov, Trutnov festival, etc.) and abroad.
Beginning of her career was greatly influenced by the collaboration with a conductor Milos Krejci in the international project for young talents Europera and with the Czech tenor Stefan Margita.
Katerina performs frequently with top Czech orchestras (Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, Brno Philharmonic, Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra in Zlin, South Czech Philharmonic in Czech Budejovice ad.), but also with many European orchestras, under the direction of outstanding conductors (Petr Altrichter, Charles O. Munroe, Steven Lipsitt, Muhai Tang, Ulrich Backofen, Pietari Inkinen, Oliver Dohnanyi, Thomas Brauner etc.).
Katerina has also given multiple guest performances in the F. X. Salda Theater in Liberec, as well as J. K. Tyl Theatre in Pilsen, where she made her debut in 2014 in the lead role of Marenka in Smetana’s Bartered Bride.
